Forty years of trust,finally indexed.

RASHI has rectified gasoline and diesel engines in San Salvador since the 1980s. The mechanics knew them. Google didn't. We built an institutional site that respects the heritage and runs faster than any competitor in their category.

The challenge

Forty years of word-of-mouth credibility — and not a single line of HTML to show for it.

Every mechanic in greater San Salvador knew RASHI. New customers searching online for engine machining found everyone but them. The brief was direct: a serious institutional site that loads instantly on patchy mobile networks, looks unmistakably industrial, and stays cheap to host while the family business decides how digital it wants to become.

Our solution

Five pages of clean HTML. Zero compromises.

We deliberately did not pick a framework. A multipage static site — Home, Services, About, Gallery, Contact — served by nginx in a tiny Docker container. Tailwind via CDN, vanilla JS for the mobile menu and counter, three Google fonts (Anton for display, Inter for UI, JetBrains Mono for accents). The result loads faster than the React SPAs of every competitor we benchmarked, indexes cleanly, and costs almost nothing to keep running.

Key decisions · 06

Performance and longevity, by design.

// 01

No framework, on purpose

Skipping React/Next saved 100+ KB of JS the user never asked for. The site loads with zero hydration cost.

// 02

Industrial design system

Display in Anton (heavy, mechanical), body in Inter, accents in mono. Custom CSS tokens for an unmistakable shop floor feel.

// 03

Spanish-first SEO

All copy, structured data, sitemap and meta in Spanish. Local intent queries — 'rectificadora san salvador', 'rectificación de cabezotes' — surface RASHI in week one.

// 04

Photography-deferred build

Launched with branded placeholders so the family could ship while photography was being arranged. Image slots are drop-in replacements.

// 05

Tiny operational footprint

Docker + nginx, a single small VM, a Cloudflare origin cert. Hosting cost rounds to coffee money per month.

// 06

Mobile-first map + contact

Embedded Google Maps with the workshop pin, click-to-call, click-to-WhatsApp. The path from search → conversation is two taps.
